NEWTOWN, PA (SEPTEMBER 2017) – Inspire Federal Credit Union celebrated the opening of their new branch and corporate headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment.

The ribbon cutting was held at 3 Friends Lane in Newtown, the new home of Inspire Federal Credit Union. Jim Merrill, the Credit Union’s President/CEO, was joined by the Credit Union’s Board of Directors, staff, township supervisors, business leaders in Newtown, and state representative Perry Warren.

Jim Merrill started the ceremony with opening remarks. Merrill talked about the Credit Union’s growth over the past few years and stated, “I can’t think of a better place than Newtown for Inspire to call home for many years to come”. Talking about the journey of the Credit Union, Merrill continued by saying, “We began the process of looking for a new headquarters about a year and a half ago and quickly realized through our due diligence process that Newtown would be the perfect place. There is such a thriving business community and it is perfectly situated for our continued growth and expansion in Bucks County.”

Following the ribbon cutting, the Credit Union invited members of both the credit union, and the surrounding local community to join them in the celebration. There was free food, entertainment, and tours of their new state of the art facility.

Additionally, President/CEO Jim Merrill presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to the Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation to contribute towards their mission of helping those in need in the Bucks County community. In attendance to accept the check was Michael Barnes, Executive Director of the foundation, and Michael Barkann, a Philadelphia sports broadcaster and co-founder of the foundation.

The Newtown branch is the Credit Union’s third location. Inspire FCU’s additional branches are located in Bristol and Langhorne.
