2018 Teacher Spotlight: Kyle McDonough

Inspire Federal Credit Union is proud to introduce you to our 8th Bucks County “Teacher of The Year” finalist, Kyle McDonough. Kyle has been teaching for 3 years. He is currently in his second-year teaching first grade at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School. He participates in Music Ministry for his school masses as well as the Safety Committee and Tiger News Network.

Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Temple University and obtained a Master’s degree from Gwynedd Mercy University. He has a Level One Google Certification. He appeared as a featured teacher on Write On Fight On and received the 2016 Math Award.

When Kyle is not teaching he helps support his local community. He has helped with Nativity School’s Teen Ministry, in music and service. He is also a volunteer youth soccer coach working with kids from ages 8-16. He participates in a variety of activities such as 5K runs, fundraising events, and community youth outreach programs.

One thing is clear, Kyle enjoys the opportunity to impact student’s lives. He said, “My favorite thing about teaching is being able to help shape young minds. Having the ability to work with students and see their growth and excitement makes you want to come to school every day.”  He believes that in order to be a great teacher you need to be constantly improving both yourself and those around you.

Congratulations Kyle and the other top 10 finalists!

Over the coming weeks, we will be spotlighting each of our ten finalists for Teacher of the Year on our blog and on our Facebook page.
