How to Become a Member
Simply submit an application through our website, call center or in-person along with a $5 deposit into a regular savings account. The deposit represents your “share” of the credit union. As a non-profit, our members are our owners. Your share allows you to vote on important decisions such as who serves on our volunteer board of directors. Although we will work tirelessly to maintain our relationship, the $5 will be returned to you in the unfortunate event that you leave. Read below to see who is eligible to become a member!
Member Eligibility
Our primary purpose is to satisfy the financial needs of our members. Unlike a bank, a credit union is “member-owned” and operated by all of the individuals that utilize our financial products and services. Once you become a member of Inspire Federal Credit Union, you are a member for life! Even if you relocate, change jobs, or retire, you are always welcome as a member of our credit union!

Join Inspire Through the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center
In 2024, the Friends of Silver Lake became affiliated with Inspire FCU to offer credit union loans and services to its members. Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center is a non-profit located in Bristol, PA. They are a membership-based organization who dedicates their time to preserving the lush foliage, rich wetlands, and unique wildlife that inhabit the nature center. In addition to their picturesque trails, the organization also hosts events, camps, and clubs for all ages. At no cost to you, you can join the Friends of Silver Lake with a one-year member and become a member of Inspire FCU for life! Just select this option in the application and we’ll take care of the rest.
