Job Description
With 4 branches in Bucks County, PA and $300 million in assets and over 15,000 members, we’re seeking an energetic professional to join our growing team as a full-time Loan Officer. The Loan Officer will build on the relationships with current Credit Union members by understanding their needs and suggesting credit union products and service to address those needs. The Loan Officer will be responsible for building a trusting and honest relationship during each member interaction, both inside and outside of the Credit Union.
The position will focus on building relationships with Inspire FCU members by providing accurate and timely information on credit union products and services. Position is responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for loans and processing various consumer and real estate loan applications as well as gathering background information, analyze loan applicants’ credit history and be authorized to make credit granting decisions. Approve or disapprove loan applications based on credit analysis. Prepare documentation and complete loan settlement procedures. Provide information on credit union products and services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures and State and Federal rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Interview loan applicants and provide information on loan products and alternative products that best meet member’s needs. Request and review all required information and documentation to secure loan.
2. Complete loan applications over the phone and/or electronically.
3. Gather background information on loan applicants by interviewing loan applicants and obtaining credit bureau reports.
4. Handle the loans of highest complexity, value, or risk.
5. Determine eligibility of loan co-maker from co-maker’s statement and credit rating.
6. Calculate debt-to-income ratios on loan applicants and calculate how much of a loan applicant’s debt is secured or unsecured.
7. Assist members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of information within all loan platforms and formats.
8. Pull and evaluate credit reports for all accounts, verify debts, estimate monthly payments for outstanding debts listed and add them to debts on application.
9. Determine collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for the loans.
10. Approve or deny loan applications within pre-established limits set forth by the AVP Consumer Lending Manager; notifies AVP Consumer Lending Manager regarding any loan applications outside of authorized unsecured and secured limits.
11. Verify the accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications.
12. Notify applicant of loan decision. Correspond with members, applicants and creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
13. When a loan is denied, explain reasons for denial in a professional, courteous manner. Work with member to provide recommendations or alternative options for other possible ways to secure a loan in future.
14. Cross-sell lending and other credit union products.
15. Review developing laws and regulations as they apply to loan security agreements.
16. Willingness to work hours that coordinate with business needs.
17. Cross-sell lending products offered by the credit union.
18. Cross-sell all other products offered by the credit union.
19. Assist in various areas of the loan department when needed
20. Keep abreast of changes in consumer loan trends.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for interviewing loan applicants and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union
2. Work requires knowledge of consumer loan policy, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan. Knowledge of interviewing skills and techniques required.
3. Associate’s Degree or Higher Preferred (High School Diploma Required)
4. Two years of experience in a lending environment of a credit union or financial institution required. Experience in loan interviewing preferred.
5. Intermediate math skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
6. Ability to meet Credit Union attendance standards is required.
7. Must be bondable.

Job Description

The Member Relationship Specialist will build on the relationships with current Credit Union members by understanding their needs and suggesting credit union products and service to address those needs. The Member Relationship Specialist will be responsible for building a trusting and honest relationship during each member interaction, both inside and outside of the Credit Union.

Job Description
The Market Manager–Community Banking is responsible for cultivation of leads specific to developing new business opportunities for the credit union. This position is accountable for acquiring new profitable member relationships (business and consumer), resulting in core deposit growth and quality lending opportunities. Additionally, this position will be accountable to support the growth of the Credit Union’s CUSO business entities. In alignment with the Credit Union’s strategic goals, this position will formulate plans and produce results consistent with management expectations. The candidate will attend and participate various events in the community, to network with local businesses and create favorable brand awareness of the credit union.
Essential Duties
- Build, develop and maintain successful member relationships including interaction with businesses at all levels to ensure the credit union’s presence and recognition within the community in which it operates.
- Work independently to develop and solicit new business from present and prospective members to increase revenue base and overall profitability.
- Serve as the primary sales contact for new and existing business banking relationships and maintain open and ongoing communication to improve wallet share.
- Partner and collaborate with all business lines within the Credit Union to assist with local business development efforts as well as gain their support to assist with business development activities.
- Contribute to the profitability and growth of the Credit Union by building, developing and managing new and existing business member relationships.
- Analyzes potential members’ banking needs, earnings and financial conditions to recommend appropriate banking solutions.
- Showcase the newest promotions and marketing initiatives that the Credit Union offers.
- Develop and maintain a network of referral sources to generate leads for additional business banking relationship opportunities.
- Onboard new banking relationships to maximize member usage of all products and services available – including digital banking services.
- Participate in a variety of marketing initiatives to support the Credit Unions strategic initiative goals.
- Research and develop new sales leads for the purpose of member acquisition for business accounts, commercial and lending referrals and deposit account (Business & Consumer) referrals.
- Maintain membership and actively participate in industry and trade organizations. Participate in community and business functions/groups to enhance the overall image of the Credit union and to promote the credit union while driving new member and business leads into the credit union.
- Prepare a wide variety of reports and management information on activities and ensure that management is adequately informed of all member development activities and objectives.
- Adheres to proper regulatory compliance practices inherent in this position’s responsibilities by following departmental policies and procedures, completing compliance training as assigned and questioning any areas of uncertainty regarding proper regulatory processes.

In addition to growing business deposits, this position is responsible for generating additional lines of business including lending relationships and commercial insurance products through relationship building techniques. Qualifications

- Strategic mindset with ability to understand the direction, priorities, and goals of the organization.
- Demonstrated strong coaching and training skills.
- Valid driver’s license required for local] travel to attend meetings and events, and to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
- Proven B2C sales or B2B, and consultative sales abilities.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently.
