Amp Up Your Productivity: Three Habits To Adopt, and Three To Ditch

As a leader, you’re no doubt always looking for ways to increase your productivity AND the productivity of your team. We’re here to tell you, that being a harsh taskmaster isn’t the way to do it. We’ve been talking to you about habits and how important they are. Here are three habits for you and your team to adopt, and three you can leave behind.

Adopt:

1.Morning Rituals: Kickstart your day with purpose! Incorporate a routine that includes meditation, exercise, or goal-setting. A mindful start lays the foundation for a focused and energized day.

2. Task Prioritization: Embrace the power of prioritizing tasks. Identify key objectives and tackle them first. This ensures you’re addressing the most crucial elements before getting lost in the minutiae of the day.

3. Regular Breaks: Counterintuitive but vital! Breaks refresh the mind. Short pauses, walks, or even a power nap can recharge your cognitive resources, enhancing overall productivity.

Ditch:

1. Multitasking Myth: Focus on one task at a time. Multitasking can lead to reduced efficiency and increased errors. Prioritize quality over quantity in your work.

2. Endless Notifications: Silence non-essential notifications during work hours. Constant pings disrupt focus. Schedule specific times to check emails and messages, maintaining control over your attention.

3. Procrastination Patterns: Break the cycle! Identify triggers that lead to procrastination and develop strategies to overcome them. Proactive planning and setting small, achievable goals can help you stay on track.

Remember, no one is perfect and change doesn’t happen overnight. However, small changes in habits can yield significant improvements in productivity.
