Still, having some trouble seeing that every cloud has a silver lining? Sometimes it is easier said than done. Don’t worry, we’re back with another way to find the best out of a bad situation!
2. Leaders Know That Problems Can Lead To Innovative Changes
Problems exist because no one has figured out a better way to solve them. Humankind has invented everything from the wheel to the iPhone, simply because people continue to build on the innovations of the past. Sometimes it takes the right person, or the right team, to overcome a common obstacle in a new way.
Strong leaders leverage problems as opportunities for their teams to create solutions. Whether it’s deciding to upgrade a sales system, finding a unique way to reach customers, or bringing an outside-the-box thinker onto the team, good leaders will lead innovative change by altering their perception of problems.
You might be surprised — maybe this problem-solving opportunity introduces you to an even better way of doing something. An obstacle may be what you need to unlock your business’ best idea. In fact, the real fight might be convincing others of your solution’s value. You’ll have to fight against the “But this is how we have always done it” logic. Put in the time to prove your innovative idea is what is needed to go to the next level and then look forward to that next “problem”.
